鹿回头 - 当爱成为自然
Argentina 2025

A hunter pursued a deer all the way to the edge of the sea. The deer turned her head and transformed into a woman. Thus, love was born—in Hainan, and in the memories of the Li people. "Deer Turning Its Head" is not a fairy tale, but an ancient reminder that "we and nature are one." This artwork belongs to the "Dialogue of Ancestors" series. At the center of the canvas is the deer totem, deconstructed and rebuilt through the traditional geometric language of the Li people, while also woven with the Qom people of Argentina's deep reverence for the deer. Two cultures separated by oceans meet within the eyes of the deer. Surrounding the deer are powerful Li symbols representing abundance, protection, and prosperity. The ethnogeometric patterns of frogs and water immerse the entire piece in a profound sense of Li emotion. Finally, six red triangles from the Qom culture are gently adorned, resembling small red birds guarding this love. In many ancient cultures, the deer stands as a sacred bond between humans and nature. Here, it is also a memory waiting to be seen.
